Angela began making jewelry when she was 16 years old. This hobby quickly turned into her own jewelry line that she began marketing at age 18. Her jewelry has sold in boutiques nationwide including stores in New York. She was a featured designer in the fashion section of the Arizona Republic as well. Her specialties include beading, wirework, silversmithing and lampwork bead making. She has taught workshops throughout Arizona to children through adults in jewelry making and ceramics. Currently she teaches 2D and 3D art forms to kindergarten through fifth grade students in the Amphitheater School District in Tucson, AZ.

Young Artist Series - Summer Camp (SESSION 2)

Escape the heat this summer and give your child the gift of creative expression! Join us for a week this summer and learn a variety of 2D and 3D art techniques. Students will be taught a variety of skills and be given options for projects they would like to complete. Lessons will be tiered so that beginning through experienced young artists will have the opportunity to learn new techniques and expand the ones they already have. 

Techniques include: abstract drawing with varied shading skills, jewelry: macrame and weaving with beads, paper relief sculptures, clay relief tiles, still life painting with watercolors, wire sculpture. 

At the conclusion of the week we will hold an art show where family members can see the artwork created throughout the week. Students will also have the opportunity to reflect on their artwork by composing artist statements and displaying their work.  Students will participate in the complete artist experience in this summer camp through the processes of design, production, reflection and display of their work. 

  • Ages 8 & up
  • Please arrive 20 minutes early on the first day of the session in order the sign the liability waiver.
  • A snack and drink will be provided each day. If your child has allergies or sensitivities please send a snack/drink with them. 
  • Please note the age of your child at the time of registration so the instructor can plan accordingly.
  • Registrations must be made atleast two weeks in advance (June 8)
